3 New Vegas Restaurants, Including A Korean Bakery

In the latest Las Vegas Restaurant Survey :

Korean Bakery Ppang Co. (ppang means "bread" in Korean) just debuted at 3620 S. Jones Blvd., Spring Mountain Road. The menu includes bread, pies and pastries, savory pastries, sandwiches, pizza, coffee drinks, milk and fruit teas and cocktails. Must try: Magnificent cylinders of Mont Blanc pastry coated with caramel, sweet syrup and various nuts. The bright and airy dining room has skylights and offers baked goods and drinks as well as tables for larger groups. Ppang occupies the former Soju Korean pub. Call 702-780-4677.

Café du Val , 1550 E. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson, features an expanded space (more seating, new wine bar) and new breakfast and cocktail offerings. Dishes include classic steak tartare, Merguez lamb skewers and short rib shakshuka. Some cocktails include red and white sangria and mimosa trios (blood orange, lavender and peach). Frosé Co-op and Restaurant is now open across from the Hilton lobby at Resorts World. As the Las Vegas Review-Journal previously reported, the frozen wine shop's investors include a Heisman Trophy winner. In addition to ice cream, The Co-op offers salads and sandwiches. Chefs Michael and Sarah Tarantino , owners of Tarantino's Vegan on South Rainbow Boulevard, have added another restaurant to their plant-based portfolio with the recent purchase of Graze Kitchen , 7355 S. Buffalo Drive, Suite 2, on Warm Springs Rd. "This is one of our favorite restaurants and we can't wait to add more homemade, gluten-free and raw dishes to our already excellent menu," said Michael Tarantino. Winnie & Ethel's Downtown Diner , winner of the May 2022 Great Las Vegas Coffee Shop free dinner, has finally opened at 1130 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 140 in the Huntridge Center (main entrance off South Maryland Parkway). ). Milpa, a Mexican restaurant known for its homemade pastries using traditional ingredients and techniques, will serve Mexican Christmas dishes until January 31. Look for hot chocolate champurrado ($5.50), made with Oaxacan chocolate; atole, a hot drink made from corn and dough with cinnamon and cane sugar ($4.50); and tamales with fillings like blue and yellow corn dough pulled chicken ($6) or cheesy roasted rajas peppers ($5).

Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria & Bar, 9785 W. Charleston Boulevard, offers an upscale wine list at competitive restaurant prices. Among the 16 current releases are Rombauer Chardonnay ($55), Copain Pinot Noir ($45), Justin Isocèle Bordeaux blend ($70) and Bibi Graetz Super Tuscan ($92). Alexxa's at Paris Las Vegas, one of the best terraces on the Boulevard du Strip, is offering two new specials. On Tuesdays from 5 to 9 p.m., the restaurant serves 1-pound snow crab legs with sautéed butter, lemon, garlic and herbs for $34.99 (add a USDA Prime flatbread for $15.99).
