Maddie Ziegler Fitting In

Fitting In (2023) Movie Review , movie written and directed by Molly McGlynn , starring Maddie Ziegler , Emily Hampshire , Juliet Amara , D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai , Christian Rose, Dennis Andres , Richard Barlow , Mariah Boeck and Roslynn Bugey. Emily Drew , Kay Griffin , Georgiana Hansen , Emma Hunter , Melody A. Johnson , Stephanie Take , Lou Mauro , Milena Raso , and Gray Reich.

Molly McGinn's insightful new play, Fit In , shows what happens when a young woman named Lindy (Maddie Ziegler) discovers she has a sexual problem because health problems similar to those of Hitler's wife make consent difficult. they have. Have a close relationship. This condition has a name (MRKH), but it is not the condition mentioned in the movie. The film focuses on Lindy's struggles as she tries to cope with the inevitable fact that she will not be able to have children in the traditional way. Besides, sex is not an easy task for Lindy either. As the film reveals the layers of Lindy's personality, the audience understands Lindy's dilemma.

Emily Hampshire as Rita, Lindy's mother. Rita wants the best for her daughter and struggles to raise her as a single mother. During the film, Rita tries in vain to use dating apps to get to know each other. Rita is unlucky in love but has a good heart, even if Lindy doesn't understand what a good mother Rita is. Lindy learns a lot about her unfortunate condition, which is preventing her from having sex with her future boyfriend, Adam (Dee Pharoah Won-A-Tae). The movie is amazing because it doesn't make Adam look stupid. He loves Lindy and tries to get her right, but Lindy is too afraid to reveal what happened to her biologically and is not faithful to him.

Julie Amara plays Vivian, Lindy's best friend who runs around like Lindy. They are good friends, but Lindy has a hard time explaining all her feelings. Lindy decides to explore herself by meeting people in the town and one day attends an LGBTQ+ meeting at her school. Lindy meets a sexist named Jax (Key Griffin). Jax turned out to be kind-hearted and easy to get along with. This leads to a romantic relationship between the couple. However, things take a turn for the worse when Lindy kisses Jax at a party one night.

Entry is not your typical coming-of-age story. Ziegler cleverly adds depth to Lindy, a character who faces a lot of uncertainty in the film's plot. What sets "The Fit" apart from other movies is that Lindy's situation is rare. Most teenagers are capable of expressing themselves through sex, and when sex is off Lindy's list of immediate options, she has complex emotions and is determined to find a way to have sex, even if it's with the handsome guy in the neighborhood. Working in a fast food restaurant.

The supporting cast is well cast. Key Griffin definitely deserves high praise for his supporting role in the film as Jax, a complex yet simple character who wants to express himself. When Jax gets a chance to start a romantic relationship with Lindy, they try to be friendly and loyal, even though it's clear that Lindy isn't willing to deal with serious issues in light of the complexities of her everyday life. Another notable role is Emily Hampshire as Rita's mother. Hampshire doesn't put a foot wrong during the most poignant and touching scene between Rita and Lindy.

It's important to note that Fitting In is honest about Lindy's sexuality. At the same time, the film is very touching because we wonder how Lindy will move on with her life. Lindy falls into certain life traps, such as drinking alcohol and putting herself in danger, and in times of crisis, it's easy to sympathize with Ziegl. He starts taking unnecessary risks just to make sure he's capable of living a normal life.

Interestingly, "Fit" ends with the song "Barbie Girl" playing over the end credits. Surprisingly, people flock to see Barbie and seem to know a lot about fitting , which is just as good as Barbie , although of course it's very different. Everyone can draw their own conclusions as to how well the chosen songs fit McGlynn's heartwarming film.

Fit is nothing short of a powerful story about dealing with differences and overcoming all odds. By the end of the film, Lindy has learned a lot, but the most important truth for her character is how Lindy accepts and accepts certain aspects of the plot. McGillin has made a unique and exciting film that deserves mainstream success.
