Korean Film Geek Documentary ‘Yellow Door Among Early Winners, As Busan Film Festival Announces Vision Awards

"Solid Bodies by the Sea", "Berefts" and "House of Seasons" won several Vision Awards at the Busan International Film Festival on Thursday night.

Another winner was the 90s documentary Yellow Door: The Lo-Fi Film Club, which focused on early Korean film fans, including Parasite director Bong Joon-ho.

DGK Plus M Award

CGV Award

KBS Independent Film Awards
The KBS Independent Film Awards recognize support for Korean independent films. 1 Korean film will be selected from the Korean Cinema Today - Vision and New Currents category and will receive 10 million won with the support of KBS.

CGK Award
Sponsored by the Korean Filmmakers Guild, the CGK Awards are awarded to Korean films in the "New Trends" or "Current Korean Cinema - Vision" categories. The cinematographer of the winning film will receive 5 million won.

Critics Award b
The B Critic Award is awarded by the Busan Film Critics Association to films selected from the New Trends and Current Korean Cinema - Vision categories. The winner will receive 10 million won.

"Aurora" media award.
The Aurora Media Prize was established to support young directors in the Korean film industry. 1 Korean film from the New Trends category and 1 film from the Korean Cinema Today - Vision category will each receive a cash prize of 10 million won, sponsored by Aurora Media.

VER Short Film Award
The award was created to support short film directors in Korean cinema. 2 films will be selected from the Korean Short Film Competition category and will receive a cash prize of 5 million won. This cash prize is sponsored by Wacha.

Citizen Critic Award
The citizen critics of the Busan Cinematheque choose the best film of the selection in the category Korean Cinema Today - Vision. The winner receives a cash prize of 10 million won to help them with their next project.

Busan Film Festival Award
The award recognizes the best Korean and Asian documentaries submitted in the wide-angle documentary category. The winner receives a prize of 5 million won and is selected by a jury composed of undergraduate and graduate students from Busan University.
