Liam Neeson's action films are almost a genre unto themselves. Short, powerful, bloody, perfect for a summer hit. Similarly, "Revenge" will hit the theaters on August 23.

In addition to Liam Neeson, the cast also includes Jack Champion and Lily Aspel as children trapped in their father's car, driven by a mysterious villain who is trying to blackmail him for a large sum of money. As usual, Liam Neeson returns in a muscular thriller , at least uncomfortable. Retribution is a remake of the 2015 Spanish film Apple Inc.
Our verdict
The great thing about Revenge is that the outline fits well with the sticky notes, leaving plenty of room for the action to happen. Liam Neeson plays Matt Turner, a businessman who goes to work every morning. But this time, two important details change his daily routine: first, he decides to take his children to school, and second, if someone gets out of the car, a bomb hidden under the seat will explode. Turner is immediately contacted by an unknown assailant who blocks his car and orders him to take a few steps into the daylight or a bomb will explode...killing him and his family.
Truly a genre, Retribution represents the pinnacle of Liam Neeson's long list of action films. Short, punchy and full of tension, it's easy to get caught up in an incredibly difficult situation where, as is often the case in action movies, simple communication solves all problems. However, Liam Neeson is at his best as a frantic family man. And it works, although it's too old to be entirely convincing. The terror is palpable and contagious. However, the resolution is disappointing.
