Like TMNT: Mutant Mayhem? Then Watch These 5 Movies That Are Just Like It

After great reviews and great trailers , Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is undoubtedly one of the best animated films of the year.

While the animation style may seem innovative and the narrative unconventional, there are a few movies you can watch if you're getting ready for Mutant Mayhem , or if you've seen it and want something similar. These are five movies very similar to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem that you should watch if you like funny cartoons.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-MAN #2 Official Trailer (HD)

The movie that directly inspired Mutant Mayhem was Into the Spider-Verse , which uses a similar animation style and overall tone to this new version. Into the Spider-Verse felt groundbreaking when it came out in 2018, and its sequel Across the Spider-Verse proved that the first installment was no fluke.

Into the Spider-Verse follows a young Miles Morales as he gains his powers and eventually encounters Spider-Men from different dimensions. It's soft, sticky, tactile and almost perfect.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is available for rent or purchase on digital platforms.

The Mitchells vs. Machines (2021)

Mitchells vs Cars | Official Trailer | Netflix

Another film that uses a unique blend of animation styles, Mitchell Vs. The Machines follows a family who discover they are the sole survivors of a robot apocalypse. As they try to regain control of the cars, we focus on the relationship between the main character of the film, Cathy, and her father, as they try to overcome the rift that has arisen between them.

The film shows what it's like to grow up in a sweet and sensitive way, but it's full of jokes than you might think at first glance. Hopefully, this is the kind of film worth watching over and over again.

The Mitchells vs. The Machines is streaming on Netflix.

The Lego Movie (2014)

The LEGO® Movie - Official Trailer [HD]

The Lego Movie , another film that breaks new ground in animation, is set in a world made entirely of Legos, where an ordinary construction worker is chosen to defeat the evil Business Lord. Like many of the movies on this list, this one is full of jokes and also has a very thoughtful message about the joy of creativity.

Is film also a good advertising medium for Lego as a toy? Of course But The Lego Movie is all about the joy of creating something beautiful, even if you do it with little plastic toys you definitely shouldn't step on.

The Lego Movie will be broadcast on Max.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 Official Trailer

Internet movies tend to be either great or terrible, and Ralph Breaks the Internet clearly falls into the latter category. The film tells the story of Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz, who search the Internet for a replacement part for the game Van.

However, once there, they quickly realize that the Internet is a much bigger and wilder place than they ever imagined. Ralph Breaks the Internet may have some unnecessary tropes, but overall it's the kind of movie that Disney needs to make a lot more of.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is live on Disney+.

Big Hero 6 (2014)

First edition of Disney's Big Hero 6 official trailer

Big Hero 6 is Disney's only attempt at a superhero movie in the animated series, and it mostly succeeded. Follow a boy after a great loss as he saves his town from destruction with Baymax, his inflatable robot.

Big Hero 6 may be the most ordinary movie on this list, but it has a lot of heart and that makes up for the comfort of the plot that one can find while watching it.

Big Hero 6 is streaming on Disney+.
