"This shot looks weird." Ahahaha, this movie is so funny. Kino Lorber has posted the official US release trailer for Final Cut , the zombie-comedy French remake of the Japanese cult hit One Cut of the Dead . This is premiering at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival (here's my review). Academy Award-winning writer-director Michel Hazanavicius presents one of the most innovative, lighthearted, and witty love letters to ever see film and cinema. The French remake of the Japanese One Cut of The Dead (also not to be missed) deepens its meta character through the work of a Japanese filmmaker. It retains the heart and humor of the original while offering its own unique comedy. Cupez! (originally known in France) starring Romain Duris , Berenice Bejo , Finnegan Oldfield , Matilda Lutz , Grégory Gadebois and Jean-Pascal Zadie . Not the best trailer, but if it makes you smile or laugh, you should definitely watch this movie, especially in front of an audience.

Here's the US Final Cut Trailer (+ Poster) by Michelle Hazanavicius straight from YouTube.

A low-budget zombie horror movie in an abandoned building collapses on set. The high-profile director (Romain Duris) brought the cast and crew to the brink of misbehavior when he revealed his intention to add energy and zest to the project; unlocking the real ancient zombie curse. In a frenzied one-shot of flying body parts and fluids, the actors fight for their lives against the dead and their director before the film reaches its shocking conclusion and the marker is revealed... but is this all the truth? history? Cupez! , also known as Z (comme Z) or Final Cut , written and directed by Oscar-winning French filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius , OSS 117. Cairo Nest of Spies and OSS 117. Lost in Rio , The Artist , The Search . , which was preceded by Godard Mont Amour and The Lost Prince . It is based on the original film One Cut of the Dead (カメーを武をるな!) by Shin'ichiro Ueda and Ryoichi Wada. The film is scheduled to premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival instead of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
