Everyone did it.

A new big-screen project is rumored to be in production, and it's all from the director responsible for reviving the film from previous disappointing entries in the franchise, or a concept that's generally bad news. . you fear what disaster may be on the horizon.

And sometimes when a first look, teaser, or full trailer for one of these movies comes out, it quickly shows that fans are right to be afraid of what certain studios are up to.

But not always.

That's because every now and then a trailer comes out, so you should never fully trust an ill-fated release until you've seen the animated brilliance, franchise revival, or just plain ridiculous action for yourself.

Indeed, some of the outings that followed didn't really achieve much acclaim or change the cinematic landscape forever. Some of the upcoming movies haven't hit theaters yet.

And indeed, that absolutely perfect footage convinced many doubters to give the MCU's biggest little guy a chance, with the excellent Ant-Man raking in millions at the box office and receiving particularly strong reviews.
