One Of The Best Horror Movies Of 2022 Is Now On HBO Max
While many HBO Max subscribers are disappointed that Warner Bros. continues to drop content indiscriminately, the streaming service is home to some of the best movies of 2022. In December, Inisherin and Banshee from Amsterdam debuted on the service, and this week the dark horror comedy menu was added to the streaming library .

According to Searchlight Pictures' synopsis, The Menu follows a couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) who travel to a coastal island to dine at an upscale restaurant where a chef (Rafe Fiennes) has created a lavish menu. But as you can see in the trailer below, guests will be in for more than one shocking surprise during the meal:
It first stars Emma Stone and is directed by Alexander Payne ( Downsizing , Descendants ). Both left the company due to scheduling conflicts, opening the door for Taylor-Joy and TV director Marc Maillot to take their respective posts.
Reviews for "Menu" have been largely positive, with many critics praising the film's sense of humor, acting and quality photography.
