‘Curse Of Crom Is Perfectly Fine Gateway Horror [FilmQuest 2022 Review]
Curse of Chrome: The Legend of Halloween ( aka Curse of Chrome ) looks like a children's movie made by horror fans. Even if you are alone, you will destroy yourself. There is something about this creature and its legend that suggests some caution. Are you afraid of the dark? And goosebumps mixed with Poltergeist and The Goons. But something was left in the middle that missed the mark.
In the film, high school students accidentally release an ancient Irish creature in their hometown and must stop it before midnight on Halloween. Our main character Mary (Chelsea Yurkevich) cooks to raise money for college. She does this because of a strained relationship with her parents, especially her father. At the beginning of the film, Mary's story is very predictable. It's made for kids, so that's fine, but it doesn't give us any mysteries or reason to invest. She has several traveling friends that she tries to play pranks on. Although the humor is intended for children, anyone aged 10+ will find it amusing. One of the things that hurts about this movie is that it has kids in it. However, today's kids are smarter than most of these jokes.

Curse of Chrome is a Kickstarter funded project . Therefore, we must keep in mind that some problems may arise when it comes to funding. I felt there were not enough scenes or moments to lead to some of the more dramatic twists. For example, Mary's father one day enters her bedroom while she is looking through the adoption records. She lived with this information for a while, but never told her parents. Now she was suddenly crying and was ready to fight over it. However, before he spoke to his lover, Harvey (Tanner Gilman) became interested in the series, and all was well.
Mary has nothing to do with the monster's story, from its adoption to the gruesome final battle. What should be a light bulb time is actually a very strange talking time. This scene shows that there are too many people in this scene who are not in immediate danger.

Another thing that hurts: Chrome Curse is a complete bummer of a year-long release that gave us solid PG-13 horror entries . Uma , The Curse of Bridge Hollow , and even Ghost Halloween: The Movie come to family home evening with something for everyone. All of them got into the children's horror with varying degrees of success, but managed to stand out. However, The Chrome Curse 's main attraction seems to come from people who dabbled in children's horror films in the 80s and 90s. Those were the times, and it would be nice to go back to those times. However, the performance did not catch up with the fit.

summary
It's a movie for kids, but it has the spirit of a movie that will make you root for it. It's a good start for tics who want to delve into the genre, but it's not metal like it is now.
