‘Please Baby Please Trailer: Karl Glusman And Andrea Riseborough Turn Heads In Gay Musical Fantasia
One of the wildest, wildest and least apologetic films of the 2022 festival season is Please, Honey, Please. Amanda Kramer's 1950s LGBT music thriller follows a married couple who begin to question ideas about gender, sexuality and monogamy after witnessing a murder and joining a violent gang known as the Young Masters. The film premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival and was soon acquired by Music Box Films, with plans for a theatrical release later this year.
"There's a lot we love about this film, including Andrea Riseborough's passionate and fearless performance," said Brian Andreotti of Music Box Films. "Director Amanda Kramer's bold visuals and 1950s-style iconography offer adventurous audiences a deeply engaging exploration of gender roles and desire that is both timely and timeless."
