Zack Snyder is giving Netflix subscribers an epic Christmas gift. Director Rebel Moon's new original sci-fi film arrives on the streaming service just in time for the holidays, giving viewers the first of three separate Rebel Moon parts.
The first is "Rebel Moon - Part 1: A Child of Fire", followed by "Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver" in 2024, followed by an extended film directed by two R-rated films.

“Rebel Moon - Part One: Children of Fire” will stream on Netflix on December 21 at 7:00 PM PT.
Riots in theaters?
Unlike Snyder's previous Netflix film Army of the Dead, which received a wide theatrical release before streaming on Netflix, Rebel Moon is only showing in select theaters. Check your local listings, especially on 70mm screens, but most people will only be able to watch Rebel Moon on Netflix.

Is Rebellion a Star Wars movie?
No, but it was almost that. Snyder pitched Kathleen Kennedy's Seven Samurai to Lucasfilm a decade ago, but the pitch fell through after Disney bought Lucasfilm. Snyder reworked the "Rebel Moon" story as an original story not set in the "Star Wars" universe.
When will Rebel Moon 2 come out?
