Paranormal Activity 4, It Follows, and Annabelle were the first movies he was able to see in theaters. Now, ten years later, it's an enduring genre. Black Christmas, Anna and the Apocalypse, Oculus and It are all time favorite movies. However, it was slasher films that were his real fodder. Scream VI, Freaky, Sick, Terror 2 and X are some of his favorite recent movies. He has also become a huge fan of Halloween and will never forgive his love of Halloween killings and gore. However, Shane is not just a director. He also likes video games. His favorite games are Super Mario Sunshine, The Last of Us Episode 1 and 2, and Batman: Arkham City. Music plays an important role in his life. Considering Shane is a huge horror fan, you might be surprised to learn that he's also a fan of pop music. Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are constantly working as she writes.
In his free time, Shane enjoys running with his 16-year-old beagle and playing Butterscotch. In short, Butters was her greatest love and inspired her creatively and emotionally every day. Today he is also a big collector. He likes Funko Pop, McFarlane toys, and Neka's giant horror action figures. Over the past couple of years, he's been talking a lot about buying healthy action figures. This allowed him to interact with favorite directors/actors such as Mike Flanagan, Matthew Lillard, John Carpenter, Grace Caroline Curry, Steve Burns and Kathryn Newton.
Shane has been writing for Collider since October 2021 and loves every minute of it. However, he hopes to become a screenwriter one day. He is currently working on his first screenplay titled Alien Murders, which he describes as "Halloween III meets The Faculty."
