I Dont Know If My Heart Can Handle Netflixs Leo After Watching This Trailer
It looks like Adam Sandler could make another good movie on Netflix... maybe too good.
Today Netflix released the official trailer for "Leo," an upcoming animated film that tells the story of a lizard who, after years spent as a neglected school pet, has a profound impact on the students who interact with him. The film will premiere via streaming on November 21, 2023.
You can watch the official Leo trailer on YouTube below:
Leo tells the story of a 74-year-old school lizard (Adam Sandler), who, after learning that he only has one year left to live, goes over his to-do list with the students in his class.
Actor and comedian Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer) brings laughs to this adult animated musical about the final year of elementary school, as seen through the eyes of the class pets. Leo (Sandler), an exhausted 74-year-old lizard, has been trapped in the same Florida classroom as his terrarium turtle (Bill Burr) for decades. When he learns that he only has a year left to live, he considers running away to enjoy life outside, but instead finds himself bullied by his anxious students, including a very bad substitute teacher. In the end, this is the strangest yet most useful wish list ever…
In addition to Sandler, the cast includes Bill Barr, Cicely Strong, Jason Alexander, and Rob Snyder. Directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel and David Wachtenheim, screenplay written by Robert Smigel, Adam Sandler and Paul Sado.
After watching this trailer, I'm already mentally preparing for a great story that will ultimately force us all to face the death of this lizard. After watching the beginning of Up , I will forever be shocked at how an animated film can break my heart, so I don't know if I'll stick around for this seemingly charming film.
