The Toxic Avenger Red Band Teaser Trailer Promises Gory Superhero Movie
A red band trailer for Legendary Entertainment's upcoming superhero remake, Toxic Avenger, has been released (via IGN), featuring the first image of Peter Dinklage as the titular hero. The film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2023 last week, where it received positive reviews from critics and currently holds a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The video shows the level of anger and violence fans will see in Macon Blair's reimagining of the 1984 cult classic. It also shows the titular hero's incredible strength, as he easily defeats a group of kidnappers called the "Nasty Lads".

The Toxic Avenger reboot is a modern version of Troma Entertainment's 1984 superhero black comedy in the style of Kick-Ass. Dinklage joins Jacob Tremblay (Room, Good Boys), Taylor Paige (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom), Kevin Bacon (X-Men: First Class), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings films), Julia Davis (Camping). Johnny. Coyne (Beirut), Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso), David You (Under the Silver Lake) and Jane Levy (The Evil Dead).
The film was written and directed by award-winning director Macon Blair (The Green Room). Original directing duo Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz produce for Troma Entertainment, with Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter overseeing development for Legendary.
