Paul Mescal And Andrew Scott Fall In Love In All Of Us Strangers Trailer

Love in its many forms takes center stage in the new trailer for All Of Us Strangers , Andrew Haigh's romantic drama starring Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal. The film, which hits theaters on December 22, is a tender gay love story based on a trip down memory lane as Scott's character experiences a mysterious encounter in his childhood home.

"One night, in his almost empty skyscraper in modern London, Adam ( Andrew Scott ) has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), who upends the rhythm of his daily life," reads the synopsis of the film. "As their relationship develops, Adam is haunted by memories of the past and finds himself drawn to the suburban town where he grew up and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) seem to live as if they lived when they were 30 died ago.

The trailer magically alternates between Adam's life in the present, when he fell in love with Harry, and the portal to the past he discovered with his deceased parents. Meeting these spirits as a child was healing for the grown-up Adam (who didn't want to hear his father say, "I'm sorry, I never came into your room when you were crying"), but it still takes us back to the past when we get a glimpse of ourselves. "It's funny, it doesn't take long before you feel what you felt then," Adam said to Harry.

"All Of Us Strangers" opened at the Telluride Film Festival to mostly positive reviews. It's highly anticipated, in part because of the collaboration between two Internet best friends, Connell of Normal People and Hot Priest of Fleabag . “When I saw them together, they had great chemistry,” director Haigh told Vanity Fair . "Both are fearless. There was no fear of approaching the crime scene. They know how important they are.
