Adam Sandlers New Movie Earns A Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score

Adam Sandler won our hearts with the Netflix sports drama Hustle. However, his comedies were not always well received by critics. Fortunately, his latest comedy You're So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah is about to change with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.

When critics have previously seen the Happy Madison creator's comedy, the reviews have been less than enthusiastic. A career of critical flops in comedies such as Jack and Jill, Mr. Do, Grown Ups, That's My Boy, etc. Now, though, you can give Mazel Tov to So You're Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah , which NME says earned a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. It currently shines on the review aggregator site with a 100% based on five reviews. This may be the first time a Sandler-produced feature has received a new rating. The only film he starred in would be Adam Sandler's Monologue. 100% fresh" with a score of 90%.

What you can see in the trailer for the Adam Sandler comedy is the entire Sandler clan in action. Sunny, the daughter of an SNL veteran, takes the lead in getting ready for her bat mitzvah with her best friend Sadie. Things take an unexpected turn when he sees her kissing her best friend, leading to a fight between the two. Sunny's real elder sister Saadi will share the screen with her. Adam Sandler's real-life wife, Jackie Sander, will play Sadie's best friend's mother. The Sander family has appeared in previous films, so their talents will shine in this Netflix comedy.

So far, critics have called You're Not So Invited to My Bat Mitzvah an adult movie and a "fun family affair." Variety's Courtney Howard goes so far as to meet two lovably nostalgic teenagers.

"God, are you there?" By Judy Bloom. Me, Margaret and Sixteen Candles by John Hughes. They're full."

Another reviewer, Fred Topel of United Press International, thought the film would be memorable and quotable for a younger audience. We seem to have a classic maturity on our hands. Granted, the Rotten Tomatoes rating could realistically change when the film hits Netflix on August 25th. But it's still a great start for Adam Sandler's family comedy.
