‘Extraction 2 Review: Chris Hemsworth And Team Crank Up Everything In NextLevel Action Sequel
While the title evokes an uncomfortable visit to the dentist, Extraction 2 lives up to the brutal and mass murders of last year's first installment. Fantasy director Sam Hargrave set himself the task of not only increasing the tension, but also involving more elements than the first time. The overall shots are also superb, obviously for visual effects, but unsurpassed in their stunning and flawless creativity. Even hardcore fans and gamers will be surprised, amazed and delighted. With 99 million viewers in the first episodes, the first series of the Netflix original in the first four weeks, it is not surprising that the series did well, because the third series was released in a year.
Based on the 2014 graphic novel Ciudad by Andre Park, writers Joe and Anthony Russo, and artist Fernando Leon Gonzalez, the franchise launch is known for its determination, commitment to action and nothing less. There is hardly a moment of silence or intimacy that baggage allows, like a warm conversation, a nice dinner, or a hot bath. No, wherever Tyler Rake goes, the gun goes with him, and just like in the movie, he never seems to run out of bullets. But curious minds want to know; Is there anyone with that name in real life? Despite being a surname in the film, Bambino is still referred to by his first name.
It's hard to think of more movies than "Evacuation" ; Others occasionally stop to talk, but this is mostly avoided and shot lightly, often wildly, in vain, for no reason; For the most part, that seems to be all the film revolves around, which most viewers will appreciate a little.
At the beginning of "Wreck", Chris Hemsworth falls from a high bridge, plunges into the water and is washed ashore, slowly recovering and finding his way back. No one on the team seems to have worked late into the night to come up with clever plots or write brilliant dialogue, starting with writer Joe Russo. However, they could sometimes work overtime and invent new sources of risk and internal resilience to compensate for the extra two hours of risk.
The filmmakers did better with the latter. Gathering strength and determination in a remote cabin, Rake assembles a small team. He makes it his mission to help the beautiful Mia (Olga Kurylenko) and her descendants escape from the killer groups. Rack is unique here, and the film's best scenes - and there are many - use technology that allows the tiny cameras to move and pan like crazy. Even seasoned professionals and movie buffs will be amazed and amazed at how they managed to capture so many images and scenes.
The main reason to watch this, if nothing else, is a complex effort to see a very long series of steps that contain impressive continuous steps. Hargrave made a name for himself with stunts and action choreography in several popular action films ( The Hunger Games: Mockingjay , Captain America , Suicide Squad , Atomic Blonde , the two Avengers films ), as well as many beautiful scenery with such incredible fights. Until recently, this was unimaginable.
Some images are clearly attractive in their fluidity; The extreme conditions and unobstructed cameras created images you've never seen before, allowing the film crew to shoot without them. Hargrave makes the most of it, and the two rips so far definitely have a lot of recording that no one could have done with the old, old stuff. Case in point: the climate at the top of a new glass skyscraper in Austria, where a fierce fight to the death is taking place.
Hemsworth had nothing to say in the first episode and neither did he here. He looks really good even with the slap, and he can wear a headband if it's allowed. But the film needs a center, a home base, and the script does not provide for it. But because the camera basically goes where it wants in particularly challenging and dangerous situations, you've never seen action scenes like this before. It may not be a great movie, but you'll definitely see something you've never seen before.
This goal is largely achieved through technology, particularly in Extraction 2, where Hargrave goes a step further and uses his creative assistants to create sprawling action sequences that look like they were created non-stop; As you watch, a frenzy of insanity fills the screen as Rake runs back and forth, destroying bad things in a variety of situations, dashing from starting point to junction, occasionally taking control... driving a vehicle in panicked action and all that runs. Way of violent situations. And get a lot of success. But of course he always wins. That may be all he can do, but he's still invincible when he's bound.
Even Rek admits, "I'm a legend now."
