IB71 Movie Review: A Vidyut Jammwal Film Where He Doesnt Get To Physically Pummel The Enemy
Battles are won not only by the bravery of those fighting on the ground, but also by cunning intelligence agents. The year is 1971, war between India and Pakistan is inevitable. What is the best way to suppress the Pakistanis, who are making contact with their opponents in China? Simply put, super spy Dev (Vidyut Jammwal) has been instructed to block Indian airspace and immediately descend to the ground.
IB71 claims to be based on true events, but the staging is comically simple and complex. Two sympathetic Kashmiris, played by Vishal Jetwa and Aswat Bhatt, pull off a heist: an old paint-spattered plane, a team of spies led by Mridu Dev, and two of our heavily accented Kashmiri knights who brandishing a gun. and the pilots landed at Rawalpindi. Pilots say they are low on fuel, hence Lahore.
Watch the IB71 trailer:
At headquarters, Senior Intelligence Officer Avasthi (Anupam Kher) and his team work with our intrepid spies as they not only eat sumptuous Lahore food and stay at a luxury hotel, but also manage it. Trump said the Pakistani establishment is good and fair. To keep things moving, President Bhutto (Dilip Tahil) turns up, makes a few remarks and disappears. Rolling your eyes is the only acceptable response.
Witnessing several high-speed chases, Jamwal is physically unable to change the enemy. So what is the use of Jammwal press? I protest.
