DCs Future Begins With ‘The Flashs Final Trailer
It's hard to believe DC fans are less than a month away from The Flash . It's been a decade-long, sometimes crazy journey that has brought one of comics' most beloved characters to the big screen, but we've finally come to the end. Marketing is in full swing, various new posters, teasers and short films have appeared. However, the final trailer for The Flash has already been released, giving fans a second look at the fantasy adventure before it hits theaters in mid-June.
This trailer contains a lot of new footage, mostly continuations of scenes we've seen in previous trailers. Michael Keaton's Batman brings this multiverse team together, Ezra Miller's Barry makes up for lost time with his dead mother through time travel shenanigans, and Sasha Cale's Supergirl continues to be a scene-stealing force. outside. However, the final footage appears at the beginning of the trailer, where we see Barry being summoned by Ben Affleck 's version of Batman, before Scarlet Speedster decides to interrupt the timeline. Here we have confirmation that Jeremy Irons' Alfred Pennyworth will appear in the film. Given Affleck's role in The Flash, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but it's another nice connection to the larger DCEU.
The big takeaway from this final trailer is that The Flash is going to be a very fun movie, despite what the funniest first two trailers led us to believe. It'll still be a harrowing drama film, but the new footage has plenty of funny moments, including a group of young women enjoying watching The Flash in public and Barry joking that Bruce Wayne is his Uber driver when Kiersey Clemons Iris West was interested. This marks the second time Clemons has played Iris since her debut in Zack Snyder's Justice League .

What is Flash about?
Loosely based on the classic Flashpoint comic, The Flash has Barry Allen travel back in time to try to save his mother's life against Batman's wishes. He does so successfully, but accidentally creates an alternate timeline in the process. The Flash enters a world where Keaton replaces Affleck's version of Batman, there are no known metahumans, and Michael Shannon's Zod won the battle in Man of Steel . Supergirl also fills in for Superman in this vulnerable universe. In order to restore the timeline, Flash must team up with a younger version of himself, Batman and Supergirl, before the famous speedboat is forever trapped in this newly created universe.
When will Flash be released?
Flash hits theaters June 16. However, if you can't wait that long and you're a DC fan, IMAX will hold a special screening in the US on June 12. Tickets are on sale now and you can check out the latest trailer for Flash below.
