Justin Long And Kate Bosworth Have Been 'Doing A Horror Movie Every Night' For Halloween Month
Justin Long and Kate Bosworth have a new Halloween tradition.
"We shot a horror movie every night from October through Halloween," Long, 44, told PEOPLE magazine. "So we don't look now and exorcists are classics.
In fact, the couple, who first linked up in March and became official on Instagram in May, relied on abusive director Zach Krieger's film selection. (Bosworth, 39, has a small, memorable cameo in the movie, and is now available to stream on HBO Max.)
"We love what Zack made of this movie and what it tastes like," Long explains. "And now we really trust his taste in horror movies. He tweeted the list of movies, so we saw Saint Maud and The Audition , some movies on his list... The Evil Dead . Tonight is a nightmare on Olmer Street ...
Long has admitted watching his 2009 horror film Drag Me to Hell, starring Bosworth, who also recently appeared in Neil LaBute's House of Darkness .
"We love horror," he says. “There is really no limit to what you can do with this genre. I think that's what we really liked.”

"The Barbarian " is now available to stream and purchase. Fans on Twitter have dubbed the "Queen of Scream" for her memorable roles in several horror films, including Jeepers Creepers (2001) and The Assignment (2014). :
“Yeah, I just saw that,” she admits. “It’s so much fun. I just finished watching Halloween and there is no more legendary cry queen than Jamie Lee Curtis. Good to be in that category.”
"As a TV viewer, I love horror movies," the actor added. "Maybe that's why I'm unconsciously drawn to them."
In the case of The Barbarian , it all depends on how his character is written, an actor facing serious accusations, Long tells People magazine.
"It was exciting," he says. "It was a real opportunity to play a very despicable and imperfect person. And you find humanity in this man without justifying what he did. That this person exists in the world, that this person has a way of justifying his behavior and the way he lives with himself."
Long adds, "I thought the writing was really smart and insightful. I think it's important to be able to get to know these people in life, but I think it's also in our art."
The Barbarian is now available to stream on HBO Max and is also available to rent and buy digitally.
